Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity Could Be Wrong

After the discovery of tiny particles that can travel faster than light, it seems that the grounds have shaken for Einstein’s theory of special relativity. These findings could possibly break the pillars of the Standard Model of physics that is the basis of how we perceive the universe. For the unfamiliar, the theory states that the speed of light is ‘constant’ and there’s nothing in the cosmos can outrun its speed.

The discovery was made by CERN scientists by shooting a total of 15,000 beams of neutrinos from their laboratory at Geneva towards the Gran Sasso in Italy. Neutrinos are elementary sub-atomic particles with a tiny amount of mass and were created from radioactive decay or in nuclear reactions similar to those in the Sun. It can pass through almost anything undetected without being affected even over long distances. It was first discovered in the year 1934 and until now its existence still mystifies researchers.

After conducting a series of test that took almost 3 years, they found out that Neutrinos is faster than light by 60 nanoseconds.

“It is a tiny difference, but conceptually it is incredibly important. The finding is so startling that, for the moment, everybody should be very prudent.” said Ereditato, who also works at Berne University in Switzerland.

Mewar University presents “XPERIA”. It’s 1st national level technical & cultural festival, Which covers every technical fields, Which will exercise & compel each to strive for excellence & reach the ends of their minds. The participants will have to ignite their minds to explore their Knowledge for proving their excellence.
The main events of Xperia are finely distributed into sub-events & short summary of each of them is as under.
 Robolympix:- It covers the activities related to the robot & games related to it. The participants will show their skills & will make their robots fights with the opponent robot.
• Survivor:- The Robo Cars will have to complete the race in minimum time covering the given challenges on the track for further level on-going.
• Goal War:- The robo car will play soccer on the well furnished soccer table which will be designed by the team members. The maximum goals in given time will move on next level.

• Car War:- The robo cars will be fighting with the opponent on the predecided aera & will have to push them out of the ring.

• Xhibit:- It’s the modell making event with restriction. The participants will have to make a working modell within the predecided amount.

• Mega Xhibit:- It’s same as above but no restriction will be there.

 Code-X:- These are events related to computer & it’s technology. The participants will prove their excellency in the jobs assigned for this title.

• Code-It:- This event will bring out the mastery of the participants for debug the errors in the given program written in the simple languages.

• Web-Art:- The participant will be given the task for designing the website, in such a way that it should cover maximum information in given time.
• Net-Guru:- This event is related to internet & the tasks will have to be completed using internet within predecided time.

 Creativity:- As the name suggests, the participants will have to show their creativity & will have to bring out the skill of decision making on the spot.

• Junkyard:- Dare if you can break the barriers & bring out the daring within you to challenge even the Olympians and create masterpiece out of nothing. Mewar university proudly brings forth the power packed “JUNKYARD WARS” 2K11.

• Poster Presentation:- The themes for the poster will be given before the events & the participants will make them on the event site.

• Photography:- This is the very first kind of event introduced in Rajasthan. The art of photography will be presented by the participants in this event for which the subject will be declared previously.

 X-Storm:- In this event the participant will have to put some stress on the mind.
• I-Quiz:- It will cover the apptitude type iof question. The participants will show their point of view and aptitude towards the questions.

• General knowledge quiz:- It comprises the questions related to G.K. and daily know how.

• Science & tech quiz:- It will cover the questions of science and technology(as the name suggests) and also from the science used in the daily activities.

 Word-War:- These are the events related to Excellency in speech & ideas. It will cover the discussions on the pre-decided topics.

• Group Discussions:- The participants will be given the latest topic on the subject on the spot.

• Paper Presentation:- Here the subjects are as above. But the topics will be declared earlier & will have to present in hard & soft copies with seminar.
 Star-Hunt:- These are the cultural events covering dancing, singing & other hidden talents of the participants.
 Mez-O-Mania:-
• Treasure Hunt:- In this event the participant will have to solve a set of clues which might be in the form of text ,audio, or anything imaginable. The clues can be anywhere in the campus.
• Mathematical Challenge:- The first ever Mewar’s mathematical challenge in which the compotators will have to solve problems related to simple calculus.
• Puzzles & Sudoku:- The puzzle is the problem that tests the ingenuity of the solver & Sudoku is a logic based combinatorial number placement puzzle.
